Love Perth Life sat down with with Laura; one half of Pop-up Planning Co, to discuss what they are about and what’s next for the events team.
Envision a beautifully styled environment, sharing fresh food and quality beverages, complimented with phenomenal service; this is the magic of Pop-Up Planning Co.
Pop-Up Planning Co. was born when two friend’s Laura and Jess, decided to turn their passion for throwing dinner parties into something more tangible.
What differentiates them from other events companies is their attention to detail, attention to quality and their true desire to bring the community together.
Radiating an almost ‘last supper’ feel; their speciality is in hosting long table dinner parties. They may feel their long table dinners are perfect for almost any celebration, however, Laura asserts “whether it’s a dinner for 8, or a white wedding” the team’s able to dream up something amazing.
The girls sense of duty to celebrate Perth talent is apparent, with a focus on utilising local vendors, makers and creators. Laura maintains it is these local collaborators: food, florals, wine makers, music makers and more; that generate the spirit of their projects.
The two friends aren’t strangers to the industry, both having worked in hospitality prior to their business venture.
Jess has solid previous experience with boutique coffee and Laura has moved from front of house management to her current role running functions, events and marketing.
They both also have their own respective companies; Cake by Laura Isabella and Jessica Josie Photographer.
Laura explains the duo have “similar but also very different styles and experiences” this works to their advantage, finding inspiration in each other.
Externally they are motivated by good coffee, what’s going on in the local creative community and also admit they don’t mind a cheeky Pinterest session.
Pop-Up Planning Co. have a number of successful events under their belt, with more in the works; but being a young collective they are presently running a pozible campaign, to reach out to the wider community, to help their company grow.
Considering the inclusive nature of Pop-Up Planning, contributions seem like a fair exchange. Did I mention rewards include cake, flowers, event tickets and beautiful photos?
